Product Review: Champion Performance Syn Matrix 6:5

So Champion Performance reached out to me and wanted me to do a review on some of their products.

The products I received were their Pure Whey Plus Protein, Amino Shooter Edge BCAAs and Syn Matrix 6:5 Post-Workout.

Check out below what I think about Champion Performance’s Syn Matrix 6:5 below.

Who is Champion Performance?

I had a nice little chat with the folks over at Champion Performance and I got to know quite a bit about how they operate and I got to meet some of the people who make the company the high quality company they are today.

They’ve been around since 1986 and their team is composed of experts in the science, medical, and the nutrition and fitness field. This means they are able to put products out that not only look good on paper, but they give you the promised performance.

Their broad base of industry knowledge extends through their parent company Nature’s Products Inc which gives them the infrastructure to put out results-driven products.

I could tell that they are very motivated and passionate about all aspects of health and nutrition and it really shines in their products. They have the same drive as I do to provide helpful and useful information and I think that really hit home for me.

They have their own 135,000 square foot GMP-certified manufacturing facility which means they aren’t just slapping a label on their product and calling it theirs.

I had an idea what GMP-certified means but here’s the actual definition:

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) A GMP is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. It is designed to minimize the risks involved in any pharmaceutical production that cannot be eliminated through testing the final product.

So you mix the talent and drive in with the infrastructure to bring you quality products and you have a winning combination.

Heck, I may be contacting them for my own line of supplements soon.

Taste

A lot of post-workouts I have tried over the years have always had a medicine flavor. While the flavor wasn’t necessarily bad, it wasn’t something I really looked forward to drinking.

Champion Performance’s Syn Matrix 6:5 has done a fantastic job masking the medicine flavor and I am pleasantly surprised.

The only thing I can say negative about the flavor is it doesn’t quite taste how I thought, but I guess I don’t know what passion fruit tastes like. It kind of reminds me of mango Koolaid without a lot of sugar honestly. (embraces the childhood memories)

Overall I give flavor a 10/10. If this wasn’t a post-workout and maybe a BCAA I would give a 9 but this flavor is hard to beat.

Mixability

I had a lot of foam on top on most of the shakes I’ve had… there’s nothing wrong with this but I just thought it was noteworthy.

It mixes well with cold water and with Gatorade and I had no issues with grit at the bottom or floaters – even after it sat for over an hour.

Overall I give mixability a 10/10.

Conclusion

I wanted to go over a couple of points in this section to show exactly why I think this Syn Matrix 6:5 is something I think you should pick up.

The taste and mixability is great and this is a great combination of amino acids and protein.

One scoop is only 25 calories and if you replace your post-workout protein shake with this, you can save hundreds of calories each week; this is good for anyone who is on a cut and wants to build muscle and recover.

Overall I have to give Champion Performance Syn Matrix 6:5 a 10/10. This is outstanding.
