Hyphy Chili Kali Muscle

Hyphy Chili – The Easy Muscle Building Food

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… cooking is something everyone should learn how to do.

Whether you are John the hard gainer that can’t gain weight even though they are “smashing food like a fat guy,” or you are looking for a cheap, easy way to get some decent calories in, Kali Muscle’s Hyphy Chili is right up your alley.

Kali Muscle is a bodybuilder and entertainer and he comes up with some great combinations like Hyphy Mud that he would use when he was locked up… and they are a huge hit.

I came across this video and wanted to share it with you. It’s Kali cooking up his new creation called Hyphy Chili and it’s actually pretty cool. If you have any sort of cooking knowledge, you’ll see that the flavors can be made into almost anything you would like and you could actually make this to be much better if you wanted to.

Check out the Hyphy Chili video

The video itself is about 15 minutes and walks you through how to cook Hyphy Chili, but if you aren’t trying to watch a 15 minute video, here’s the steps broken down. (plus a few tips of my own)

How to make Hyphy Chili

Here’s a breakdown of how to make Hyphy Chili including ingredients, instructions for cooking it, and some extras I would recommend trying.

Ingredients Needed

  • (4) Packs of Ramen Noodles
  • 7-8 cups of water
  • Bag of Chili Cheese Fritos
  • Honey, Mustard
  • (2) Cans of Chili with or without beans (no beans will be less calories)
  • BBQ Sauce (to taste)
  • Honey (to taste)
  • Optional: Mustard to taste

Directions

If you’ve NEVER cooked Ramen Noodles before (come on, really?) then this may be a bit overwhelming for you, but it’s simple and you will have a decent bowl of awesomeness once you’re done.

1.) First thing’s first, crush up all 4 packs of Ramen and pour them into a large microwave-safe container with a lid. Be sure to take the flavor packs out, you don’t cook those.

The next thing is pouring the water into the noodles. You have multiple ways to do this, but here are the two I would recommend.

Easiest Option

  • Pour 7-8 cups into the bowl with your Ramen in it
  • Microwave for 5 minutes with the lid covering the opening (don’t seal the lid on top)

Alternative Option

  • Boil 7-8 cups of water on the stove
  • Pour boiling water into the bowl with your Ramen in it.
  • Seal lid and let sit for 5 minutes

For the sake of this being easy, the microwave option is preferred.

2.) Once the noodles are done, sit them on the counter and seal the lid. This is going to make sure they finish cooking and will help keep things hot while you prepare everything else.

3.) Pour the cans of chili into another microwave-safe bowl. Sit the lid on top to cover.. this will splatter and make a mess in the damn microwave.

4.) Heat chili up in the microwave for ~2 minutes. Some may need more or less but 2 minutes is a good start.

5.) Once the chili is done, go ahead and drain the water from the noodles.

In the chili bowl

  • Add Ramen flavor packs
  • Crush up and add most of the fritos
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce (just use whatever spoon you’ll eat with.. it’s mostly for flavor and extra calories)
  • Do the same thing with the honey as the BBQ sauce
  • Optional: Add a spoonful of mustard if you like mustard.
  • Mix all of these ingredients well

6.) Add all of the ingredients from the chili bowl to your Ramen Noodle bowl and mix well.

7.) Pour the rest of the Fritos on top for some added crunch, or you can mix in.

Congratulations!

You’ve now created a huge bowl of calories you can use to build muscle or strength. I told you it wasn’t that bad.

Need more calories or want to make this for a few people? Buy some tortillas and make some burritos.

Cutty’s Additions

If you have a general knowledge of cooking, you can look at this recipe and realize there’s a lot of options for flavor and additional calories.

Flavor Changes

The flavors that come with Ramen are good and all, but sometimes I like to have more control over the flavor.

Make something unique, try new spices, and see what you come up with.

So instead of using the flavor pack, save it for another time and add your own seasonings.

Things you can try:

  • Pepper
  • Seasoned Salt
  • Chili Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Hot Sauce

Use your imagination and see what you come up with.

Additional Calories

If you’re looking for additional calories, adding fats will be the easiest and most flavorful way to do so.

Things you can add:

  • Sour Cream – Add some tang and thicken up the chili
  • Butter – I mean it just makes everything better
  • Olive Oil – Add a little for some flavor and calories
  • Cheese – Add your favorite shredded cheese
  • Salsa – Adding a spicy salsa would make this great (try to drain most of the juice unless you want to make it a soup)

Complete Changes

Add this to anything you would put regular chili on like fries or hot dogs for a different flavor profile.

Add some shredded chicken for extra protein. It will make the chili more bland, so add flavor accordingly.

Add bacon and use some of the bacon grease instead of butter or olive oil.

Instead of using Ramen, you can use Minute Rice (you cook it basically the same as Ramen), macaroni, or other noodles.

Cooking should be fun and you should use your imagination. You may create some awesome food.

Conclusion

I don’t care who you are, there’s no reason you can’t cook this. Cooking complicated meals and using techniques that take time to learn is overwhelming, but it is a necessary skill you need to learn if you want to become the best that you can be.

Next time you hear someone say they can’t get enough calories in because they don’t know how to cook… send them to this page.

  1. I have a question about Hyphy meals, and that is when should I eat them? And should they be eaten? Do I make one a day and stick with that for breakfast lunch and dinner, or do I make multiple meals a day? I would greatly appreciate feedback.

    1. Start planning out your meals, use a TDEE calculator, and eat them for the extra calories you’ll need to build muscle. Hope this helps!
