I was just getting into this multi-part series of home gym chronicles but alas, I am moving.
If you have not read my other entries check them out:
I had the plans laid out and the goals to build a home gym that would benefit me in my powerlifting journey.
I purchased my first bar and weight set which was going to hold me over until I got more, I thought I had everything settled.
Moving?
I was offered a place to stay out in South Carolina near the Muscle and Strength headquarters. I plan on taking on my own adventure and making my dreams come true.
I plan on moving sometime late November or early December.
I will be moving in with a fellow writer, lifter, and gamer who will help me get and stay on track with diet and nutrition, spot me on bench, and slap the shit out of me before I do a PR.
I am excited to see how this goes and trust me, you will see more articles and possibly a video series.
The video series will be more of a feeler to see if there is any demand.
It seems the only way you get a lot of views on fitness channels is if you start drama or act an idiot… I act like an idiot a lot, but I’m not sure how much of that I want online.
Are you selling your equipment?
I think it is best if I sell what I do have, I can keep it here but I will use it to pay for a gym membership there instead.
I plan on reaching out to my friends who live close by to see if they want to buy the equipment first. I would rather pass it on to someone I like instead of a stranger.
If I don’t get any bites on the equipment, I am going to try to push on Craigslist.
Note: If you want to sell your equipment, know you are not going to get anywhere near what you paid for it.
It kind of sucks I have to sell my equipment shortly after I purchased it, but it is well worth all of the hassle.
What about a gym there?
If you’ve followed me on Facebook or Twitter, you will know I do some car audio competition and car audio installs as a hobby and I guess the gym is connected to a mobile audio shop.
The owner runs the gym and the audio shop and from what I hear, the gym is very welcoming to powerlifters.
I’m not sure if it will be as awesome as the gym I quit going to, but we’ll see.
I’ll be sure to get pictures when I get there.
In the meantime, keep visiting and sharing with your friends. I am almost done with an e-book I am offering for free if you sign up for my newsletter I am starting soon.
The newsletter will be a weekly recap of things that have gone on in the fitness industry, a summary of articles that I’ve written, and maybe a couple of advertisements of things I think would be worth buying.
I hate spam so you don’t have to worry about me selling out or bombarding you with ads all of the time.
I am going to try to work some things out with companies to get you guys deals or free stuff.

Congrats, man. This sounds like a great opportunity for you. I look forward to hearing all about it. Sign me up for the newsletter!
